You might have noticed that the prices of generic drugs increased throughout 2014. This is an industry-wide issue that affects residents in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities and local pharmacies, since we also experience these increases. Here at Wilmot, we do our best to keep your costs low. Our billing department utilizes available savings cards while our pharmacists work with physicians to adjust formularies, if possible.
Some members of Congress have also noticed this trend and have reached out to the Department of Health and Human Services to request that the administration stop any additional price increases. As part of this effort, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Representative Elijah E. Cummings (D-MD) have launched a website where you can go to share your story about how these increases have impacted you.
